The process of purchasing a house can be stressful at times, especially when dealing with multiple different people at once. 

When it came to working with Adam at Alskea, it has been nothing short of an absolute pleasure. From start to finish Adam has made us feel extremely valued as purchasers. Adam’s guidance and eye for detail through the selection suite process was second to none and extremely helpful to us when it came to making the selections for our home. 

It’s easy to find yourself not knowing where you are when purchasing a house. This was not the case with Adam, the constant updates and knowing he’s only a phone call away if we had any questions was extremely reassuring and allowed us to clearly see our path to our first step into our new home!

Buying a home is a big investment at the best of times, but buying a new-build property is probably even more daunting. You are spending a significant amount of money on something that, initially, you have never seen as a finished home, so there is naturally a lot of uncertainty and stress that comes with it.

From our very first visit to the show home, through choosing the Campbell, the selection suite, the build, completion and everything since, you and the team have made the whole experience much more reassuring and positive than we probably expected it to be.

I particularly want to mention you, Adam. You have been brilliant throughout the whole process. The way you have coordinated everything, kept us updated and always been willing to help has made a huge difference. At no point have we felt like we were just another house on the development. You have always made us feel that our home and our experience were important to you, and that really has meant a lot to us.

You have also been incredibly patient with us, particularly when we have had questions or wanted to discuss things, and you have always been approachable and easy to deal with.

Paul, the site manager, has also been excellent, as has the finishing foreman and all of the tradespeople we have dealt with. There has been a really good sense of everyone working together, and where things have needed attention, they have generally done everything they could to prioritise them and get them sorted.

One of the things that has stood out to us is that people have often gone beyond what they simply had to do. A good example was the internal security sensors. When we were having ceiling coving fitted, the team were happy to reposition the sensors so that the coving could be fitted properly. It would have been very easy to say that the sensors had already been installed and leave it at that, so we really appreciated them taking the time to accommodate it.

There have also been lots of smaller examples that probably say just as much. On occasions when tradespeople have been at the house for something else, they have noticed little things themselves that we hadn’t even picked up on, such as electrical switches needing caps over the screws, and have offered to sort them while they were there. That attention to detail and willingness to take pride in the finished house has really impressed us.

And ultimately, the quality of the house itself has been excellent. The standard of the workmanship and the overall finish has been really high, and we are genuinely delighted with the home we have ended up with.

We understood from the beginning that buying a new-build was going to be a process and that there would inevitably be things to work through along the way. What we didn’t necessarily expect was how well supported we would feel throughout that process.

So, a genuine thank you to you, Adam, Paul, the finishing foreman and everyone else who has been involved. The friendliness, professionalism, communication and patience from the whole team have made a potentially stressful experience a really positive one for us.
